Her approach is collaborative and empowering, blending mindfulness, lifestyle strategies, and evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and the Good Lives Model.

In addition to her general practice, Abbey has extensive experience working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, including those with sexual offending behaviors. Abbey received her Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota in 2018 and her Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from Roger Williams University in 2020. She has experience in community mental health settings and has supported a wide range of clients, including those with personality disorders, mood disorders, and complex life circumstances.
